AH301X1347 Fossil Plate
This stoneware plate is softly wheel-thrown in iron-rich clay, its ridged surface layered with crackled slip and pooling glazes. Glimpses of the dark clay show through, while colour variations arising from the interaction of the glaze materials add depth and complexity to the surface.
